The founder of the New Zealand Centre of Equine Psychology and Behaviour,
Jane Taylor - Young has been in the equine education industry most of her
life and designed and delivered the six-stage Herdword
programme in New Zealand from 1999 to 2007.
With great success and very
positive feedback this ran in conjunction with the Taratahi Agricultural
Training college as an NZQA approved programme. The previous version of the
programme entitled 'Through The Eyes Of The Horse', was presented in Canada
from 1994 to 1998.
Due to changes to her overall objectives, from 2008 onwards, Jane will also
be offering a very comprehensive consultancy service in addition to
one-on-one educational courses.
Jane can be contacted for consultancy on:
• Behavioural problems
• Riding difficulties
• Training issues
• Unresolved physical conditions
• Physical injuries
• After dinner speaker
• Seminars for clubs and small groups
• Educational modules to enhance existing NZQA qualifications
• Demonstrations at shows and events
• Designing and building facilities, from laying down an arena or round pen, to designing stables or creating a major equestrian facility.
Whatever the requirement, Jane can assist in planning a horse-friendly facility that is efficient, effective and attractive, as well as meets your budget.
Jane's
assessments, recommendations and subsequent practical work are all designed to ensure equine welfare and equestrian excellence as a minimum standard. Examples of her work with horses can be seen throughout this site, while the New Zealand Centre of Equine Psychology and Behaviour is a current example of her skill with facility design. Inspection of the centre is welcome.
Finally, Jane can assist with valuations and loss adjustment.
Depending on your requirements, consultancy can be provided at either an hourly rate or an overall project cost. At the completion of any consultancy project, you'll be provided with thorough documentation for your reference.
Please contact Jane to discuss your project or to make an appointment to view the centre.
